Caribbean Stud Poker
Overview:Caribbean Stud is a Poker Game in which poker players place a single bet (an Ante). Their hands compete with the dealer's poker hand. All winning card players are usually paid a bonus which is determined by the nature of the cards in their hand. The Ante:In Caribbean Stud Poker, each player is required to place a small place a bet into the pot before any cards are dealt. The amount of the Ante will be determined by the house-rules or dealer's rules. The Deal:Each player is dealt five face-down cards. The dealer gets four face-down cards and one face-up card. Declaring:Each player is required to declare their status as either 'in' or 'out'. Players declare in sequence to the left of the dealer. If a player wishes to stay in the game, they must double the bet they originally placed (their Ante). Players who fold lose their Ante to the dealer. At this stage of a Caribbean Poker game the dealer reveals their hand. For the game to continue, the dealer must have a pair of twos or better. If the dealer does not have a qualifying hand, all the players remaining in the game are repaid their antes and the game is over. The Showdown:If the dealer has a pair of twos or a stronger hand there is a showdown. All players with weaker hands than the dealer lose their bets. All players with stronger hands than the dealer are paid even money (they are paid back their bet and their ante). In many games the players with better hands than the dealer are paid a premium on their bet (but not the Ante). This premium is based on the particular cards in their hand. The premium payoff on the bet (not the Ante) may be calculated as follows
